The Perfect Travel Journal

Upcycling an antique
photo album
into a travel journal,
takes some thought..

I have thrown things together before and I had
a modicum of success..
but in this first part of my new travel journal
adventure ..
I muse about what I liked and did not like about my past journals...

So..
I will be gutting the journal on the next video..
and creating pages, pockets and stitching the whole thing together..

It will take some time..
and we will shoot it as I work on it..
so it could take some time..

thanks always
for watching
and I thank you in advance for your
kind comments..

I so appreciate you all..

Happy Weekend,
gentle viewers!!

STUNNING journals. I remembered those trips you took and I can see how they help you relive them because you are right that you don't remember all the things you think you will on a trip.

Although I can see why you loved the small journal and I can see how it would come in handy on a long trip, I find it hard to work in a small journal.

I agree that pockets are important and should be spread throughout a journal. I also liked the tabs you used in the first journal you shared. These are marvelous and you have some fantastic images and watercolors. SO glad you shared these, and I look forward to watching as you begin the one you will be working on next.

Hi Dr. E. So happy you liked the video, and the journals, and it is funny, but I had forgotten totally about those fabric tabs I stitched, and I am going to do that again in the new journal. Pockets and envelopes are definitely going in and I cannot wait to get started on the next video!! Thanks for your feedback, I always look forward to hearing your thoughts!! x

I so look forward to watching how you make your next journal. The ones you have are wonderful. I see some traveling in my future and would love to know what supplies you take with you. Thanks so much for sharing these beauties!
